I have found green, black, and white to be the strongest colors; in the drafts I did, I always ended up being in those colors. Black and white have powerful removal like Doom Blade, Deathmark, Divine Verdict, and Pacifism, and green has some of the best common creatures like Stampeeding Rhino and Deadly Recluse and Rampant Growth for mana fixing, since you'll almost have to run at least 2 colors; mana fixing is king in draft or sealed deck. Blue can be good if you can manage to pick up a couple Air Elementals or Snapping Drakes, and Mind Control is great, but I feel like both red and blue don't have enough depth to be good unless you get a really lucky draw. Although, you can always splash a little red for Fireball or Lightning Bolt (Rampant Growth really helps find the mana for those 1 or 2 card splashes). I think blue white and red are the better colors. usually, i like to draft blue/white flying beatdown deck with removals and good stuff:P. black is also good color to draft as well. i dont like to draft green, it's really limited and even slow sometimes.. but with the right picks, i guess it can be OK. |
