You've seen the best cards, you've seen the worst. What would you pick as your favorite (not necessarily most powerful) card?

My absolute favorite deck archetype is still CIP Creatures. This includes Warp World decks as well as Momentary Blink decks. Even after the combat rules have changed, I still have tons of room for play with the right creatures and blink. I've been slowly converting my All-American Blink into foil-foreign cards.

I don't know if it's appropriate, but I could link or provide an example list here, assuming enough interest.

Counterspell is another old favorite of mine. I love to play control/permission, is this is the ultimate permission card.

There's nothing more satisfying than dashing the hopes of an opponent who thinks they've finally gotten around your counter magic.

Damnation, the color shifted version of Wrath of God, has awesome art and flavor in addition of being an awesome card.

It's really hard to pick just one, but.. must say my favorite is Gifts Ungiven.

It's of course hard to pick one card (I might post more answers later), but definitely one of my favorites was Future Sight. In the proper deck with many cheap spells, this baby lets you speed through it, cast everything and simply overwhelm your opponent.

wow, its hard to pick one... I think Polar Kraken edges out Radha, Heir to Keld on this one. Neither of which are amazing cards, just fun!

I've published my thoughts on this big guy if you're up for a little reading material ;)

I can't believe you like this guy but trash on Lorthos :) – ripper234 Dec 6 at 7:50
haha Polar Kraken is an old favorite of mine. Lorthos, while admittedly a very decent cast in standard, doesn't seem to have the power compared to his time period as polar kraken did. lol plus mark tedin is one of my fav artists as well! :) – Mike1229 Dec 6 at 18:34

Hunted Wumpus is entertaining because

  • it typically backfires so horribly, especially in a multiplayer game
  • it's a nice reference to Hunt the Wumpus.
