The best I've personally received was an extra rare, but I know someone that opened two Garruks and a Cryptic!

So far, although he hasn't posted here, the best I've seen is rif-raf's brother with a power nine card. If he actually picked an Ancestral Recall as claimed in "Are the rumors of power nine cards in Zendikar true?", the edition of the card wasn't mentioned. But even in Collectors editions, it's worth more than a baneslayer :O – Shushoto♦ Nov 18 at 13:42

it wasn't a single booster, but my best cracking experience was this: i live in austria, meaning I play mostly german cards. I wanted to buy some scourge boosters, which they didn't have anymore, so I settled down on two packs of Legions. however, they were english, so I wasn't sure if I should buy them (i prefer a single-language collection of cards). well, i bought them and opened Akroma and Phage in these two packs. man, it would have sucked if I hadn't taken those!

	I assume you meant Akroma, Angel of Wrath and Phage the Untouchable because these are indeed Legions rares. I added the images after a short gatherer search, but next time you can make it easier on us... – Avish♦ Nov 16 at 10:09
	Yeah, Akroma and Phage are rather well known (==> legendary) if you played at the time. The storyline of onslaught revolves around them. – ripper234♦ Nov 16 at 10:30

Closest thing to insane I've had in a while was a Lorwyn Tournament pack with Jace and Ajani as rares. I'm sure anyone who's hard-cracked a Baneslayer will mark that these days. :)

I pulled a foil Misty Rainforest yesterday and promptly sold it for a Misty Rainforest and a Day of Judgement.

I think my greatest experience was 2 fetchlands and a foil Exalted Angel out of an onslaught tournament pack back in the day.

My story is beat by some of my friends though, I had a friend buy one pack of stronghold and call Sliver Queen and pull it and recently, my newer-to-magic-than-me woman bought 2 packs, and pulled an elspeth & holo death barron from the shards one and a foil and non foil elvish archdruid from M10.

Nothing fancy. In the Zendikar pre-release sealed event I got a Lotus Cobra, a Luminarch Ascension and a Misty Rainforest (and probably some other rares I don't remember right now which means they're not interesting).

As stated elsewhere, I also once got a Kalitas, Bloodchief of Ghet as a first-pick and never used it since.
