What do you think? Is it worth the spot in a red deck, or even in the sideboard? Is it viable to play it with all those fetch lands? And even then, is it worth the mana? I tried the card, and I dont think it's worth the spot. Besides, I think 5 CC is too much for a trap cost, even for it's effect.

I agree completely. This is very situational and even in a deck that could really use it (the creatureless burn-only monored kinda thing) it's too expensive at 8CC. 5CC is good, but still a lot and you have to rely on your opponent pulling a double-landfall which, while very common at early stages, becomes rarer once you actually have the 3RR to pay for this. |

i think it is just too expensive, you can get a better mass removal for less in white, and you can get a decent mass removel in red for much less. I am not sure how much the land destruction element matters since I have never played the card though. |
