When do you pick it? Once you picked it, when do you play it? Is it playable outside of aggro decks?

I don't think this card is good enough to be played. The land comes into play tapped, so you're actually just paying one mana for a creature to get +1/+1 until the end of turn, ignoring the fact that Landfall will trigger from it. Of course, it's a common, so it couldn't be too good, but I wouldn't play it in draft.

At sorcery speed no less, but without the cost of a card. – ripper234 Oct 21 at 20:46

Like its counterparts in the common spell-land cycle, this can just give you a nice perk at turn 3, when you've got a weeny 2-drop creature out, the opponent is defenseless (or has a similar weeny) and you don't have an important 3-drop so you can waste this turn on just attacking with a +1/+1 bonus. I wouldn't go out of my way to draft this. Its red companion, Teetering Peaks, is much better for this scenario as it gives +2/+0 rather than +1/+1 -- and that still doesn't make it much more than a decent card.

I don't think the real value of this card is when the opponent is defenseless, rather, it potentially lets you pass an defender that would otherwise block your creature. I hardly ever play aggro ... do you think it's viable to play this in a non-aggro deck, once it's drafted? – ripper234 Oct 17 at 17:53

I've picked it pretty often looking as a 'good' card for me but to be honest it was completely disappointing. Most times it was just a come-into-play tapped forest, few times it dealt an additional damage and never did it manage to pump a creature to pass a defender.

So after this experience, assuming you got this 15th pick, would you play it? – ripper234 Oct 19 at 22:37
Depending on the number of cipt lands I already want to play. If the count is low (1-2) 1 of these wouldn't hurt I guess. – coldfirero Oct 19 at 22:44

I am currently not sure about this card. Teetering peeks is amazing and kabira (something) is apparently very good in this aggro format but the other three are surprisingly meh. i am pretty sure the black one isn't worth playing unless you have many many vampries that could gain from one step closer to 10 life, the bluse one doesn't seem to be worth it becuse you mostly play evasion anyway (though when it helps it helps alot!) and this green one I think is the worst so currently i think it isn't worth playing.
