You don't 'keep' the artifact, because in all likelihood you never had it in the first place.
Gaining control of a creature doesn't give you control of anything attached to it--if you [[[Act of Treason]]] an equipped creature, you gain control of the creature, but the Equipment is still controlled by your opponent.

No. And at any time that he could play a sorcery, he may pay the equip cost of that equipment (assuming he has a creature to equip it to), and move it over to his creature.
You still control the creature, which is equipped, but it may be un-equipped at any time he is able to do so.
Also, if something causes the equipment to un-equip for some reason [[[Disarm]]], then he also gets it back. Unless you use something like [[[Carry Away]]], he will control that equipment unless otherwise stated.
